2027: Delta APC Endorses Tinubu, Oborevwori, Dafinone

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central Senatorial District has endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone and all other party candidates for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced on Monday after the Delta Central APC Stakeholders’ Strategic Meeting held at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Centre in Effurun.

The gathering brought together party leaders, stakeholders and members from across the district, who agreed to support the party’s candidates ahead of the next general elections. The decision came as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, urged members to remain united and work towards securing victory for the APC at every level.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oborevwori, the endorsement followed a motion presented during the meeting and approved by voice vote. Party leaders said the decision reflected their confidence in the leadership of Tinubu, Oborevwori and other APC candidates.

Delta State APC Chairman Solomon Arenyeka said the series of stakeholders’ meetings across the state’s three senatorial districts was introduced to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections. He said the turnout and participation at the Delta Central meeting showed growing unity within the APC.

Arenyeka also welcomed politicians who recently joined the APC from other parties, assuring them of equal opportunities and full participation in party activities. He added that efforts to reconcile aggrieved members and build stronger party structures across the state were producing positive results.

The APC Chairman in Delta Central Senatorial District, Paulinus Akpeki, called on members to move beyond the party primaries and focus on the larger goal of winning the general elections. He urged those who did not secure tickets to support the party’s candidates and work together for success at the polls.

Speaking at the meeting, Keyamo congratulated all candidates who emerged from the party primaries and commended aspirants who accepted the outcome of the process. He said the APC’s candidates emerged through the party’s internal democratic process and called on members to respect the results and remain committed to the party’s campaign.

The minister also said the Federal Government’s economic reforms were beginning to produce results through improved revenue, infrastructure development, job creation and measures aimed at reducing poverty.

Senator Ede Dafinone thanked party leaders and supporters for their confidence in him and promised to continue working towards creating more employment and empowerment opportunities for young people if re-elected.

Other party leaders from the three federal constituencies in Delta Central also pledged to mobilise support for all APC candidates during the 2027 elections.

Stella Okotete, Executive Director of Business Development at NEXIM Bank, expressed confidence that Delta Central would deliver strong electoral support for the APC while calling for greater participation of women and youths in politics.

Chairman of the Delta State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Isaiah Esiovwa, also assured party leaders that council chairmen across the district would work at the grassroots to strengthen support for the APC ahead of the elections.

Separately, Keyamo later restated on his social media page that party members should remain united and committed to delivering victory for all APC candidates in 2027.
