The condolence visit came as prominent political figures from different parties continue to visit Amaechi’s Abuja residence to sympathise with him. Since the announcement of his mother’s death, several national leaders have paid their respects to the former Rivers State governor.

Among those who had earlier visited Amaechi was the African Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Atiku, who will contest the 2027 presidential election alongside Amaechi as his running mate, visited him with members of his team to convey their condolences.

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, also paid a sympathy visit to Amaechi following the death of the family matriarch.

In addition, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, and other senior members of the party have visited Amaechi to express their support and stand with him during the period of mourning.

The visits reflect the continued flow of condolences from political leaders across the country as Amaechi and his family receive sympathisers following the loss of his mother.
