President Bola Tinubu has ended his working vacation in France and departed Paris for Lagos, where he is expected to meet political leaders and associates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The President left Paris on Tuesday, September 29, and his aircraft is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos later in the day, according to information from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu had left Abuja on August 30 for the working vacation, spending his first week in London before continuing to Paris.
The Presidency said the President decided to travel to Lagos before returning to Abuja so he could honour the memory of the late Chief MKO Abiola, who won the June 12, 1993 presidential election and played a major role in Nigeria’s democratic struggle.
As part of activities planned in Lagos, Tinubu is expected to attend the October 1 premiere of a film about Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu.

During his stay in Lagos, the President is also scheduled to meet with political leaders and associates as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
His working vacation in France included a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Tinubu also held meetings with business figures, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group, which has interests in media and digital businesses such as Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group.
On Monday, the President met with businessman and Chairman of First Holdings, Femi Otedola.
Last week, Tinubu witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a Gateway Deep Seaport in Ogun Waterside and the establishment of a Blue Marine Economic Zone in the area.
The Presidency said DP World, a global ports and logistics company, plans to invest $7 billion in the seaport and economic zone.
Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after completing his scheduled political engagements in Lagos.
