Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has launched a new online platform that will allow Nigerians to ask him questions about his political record, plans for the country and proposed policies ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The platform, known as Ask AA, is expected to become available at 8:30 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
The development was announced in a statement by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
According to the campaign council, the platform will give Nigerians an opportunity to seek answers from Atiku on issues affecting the country and its people.
The portal will allow citizens to submit questions on the economy, security, technology, job creation and ways to reduce the cost of living.
Atiku is expected to answer questions submitted through the platform, with members of his media team also assisting in providing responses.
The campaign council explained that the initiative was created to improve communication between the former Vice-President and Nigerians by giving citizens direct access to information about his political positions and plans for the country.
Shaibu said the platform was intended to bring Atiku closer to the electorate by providing a channel through which Nigerians could raise concerns and seek practical solutions to the challenges facing them.
He added that the initiative reflected Atiku’s interest in using modern technology to improve governance and make government services more efficient, secure and effective.
The campaign council also disclosed plans to introduce a radio option for the initiative. The move is expected to allow people in communities without internet access to participate and submit their questions.
Atiku also announced the platform through his social media accounts, explaining that the idea was based on his belief that leaders should maintain direct communication with the people they seek to govern.
He noted that governance had often appeared distant to ordinary Nigerians because of bureaucratic barriers, adding that the country needed to create stronger connections between leaders and citizens.
The former Vice-President described Ask AA as a platform that would promote transparency, accountability and open discussions about the country’s future.
Through the initiative, Nigerians will be able to question his record on economic matters, examine his proposed policies and contribute ideas on how to develop the country.
Atiku also said he wanted the platform to operate without unnecessary barriers between him and the people seeking answers from him.
Beyond responding to questions submitted online, the former Vice-President disclosed that he would personally telephone some participants who provide their contact details on the portal.
He said the calls would give him an opportunity to hear directly from Nigerians about their personal experiences, daily struggles and the challenges they face in their communities.
The initiative is expected to provide another avenue for the former Vice-President to engage with Nigerians as political activities ahead of the 2027 general election continue to gather attention.
Atiku, who served as Vice-President of Nigeria between 1999 and 2007, has contested the presidency on several occasions.
He has continued to pursue his ambition of becoming Nigeria’s president, with the newly introduced platform offering him an opportunity to explain his positions and hear from citizens.
The ADC presidential candidate called on Nigerians to take advantage of the initiative by submitting questions, sharing their concerns and offering suggestions on how to move the country forward.
He maintained that building a government driven by technology and openness should begin with leaders listening to the people and allowing them to express their views on issues affecting the nation.
