2025 : Wike Congratulates Residents, Says Their Cooperation key To FCT Dev’t Success Story

The Minister of FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike has commended the residents of the territory for their cooperation with the administration in implementing its policies and programmes.

Wike who gave the commendation in his new year message to residents said their support and understanding have driven his vision to build a better FCT on a strong foundation for progressive and sustained development.

The FCT Minister identified some of these remarkable achievements within 12 months to include Massive infrastructural development urban and rural roads that has drastically improved connectivity and accessibility for residents.

Wike explained that the rural road development has significantly enhanced economic activities in rural communities, creating opportunities and improving livelihoods.

He said the Administration also recorded milestone in rehabilitating some schools to ensure that children learn in conducive environments and that the future generation is empowered with quality education.

The FCT Minister further identified efforts made in the area if youths empowerment, fostering an enabling environment for foreign and local investments, and providing needed tools for security agencies to make the territory safer.

Going forward, Mr Wike promised to sustain the feat attained by enhancing public transportation, healthcare, education, youth empowerment , tourism, agricultural sectors, as well as improved securitysecurity.

“Our efforts to enhance security which included the provision over 100 vehicles to the various security agencies and implementation of bolder and innovative strategies have yielded positive results. Residents can now sleep peacefully at night, confident of the safety of their neighborhoods.

“Your support and understanding have driven our vision for a better FCT. I also commend your commitment to peaceful coexistence and care for each other throughout the past year.

“As we enter 2025 with renewed hope and optimism, I extend my warmest wishes to you all. And pray that this new year brings peace, progress, and prosperity to every household within the FCT,” Wike said.
