Tinubu’s Reforms Drawing Politicians to APC — Governor Sule

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has said that the recent wave of defections by governors, senators, and top politicians to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a result of the ongoing reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Sule made this known on Monday in Lafia, during a ceremony held to welcome Senator Ahmed Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District, back to the APC after leaving the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

He explained that many political leaders were joining the ruling party because they believe in President Tinubu’s policies and the direction his government is taking the country.

According to him, the President’s courage to take bold decisions for national progress has restored confidence among political leaders who now want to align with the APC.

The governor commended Wadada for returning to the party and assured him and his supporters of equal opportunities within the APC. Sule also praised the leadership of the party at the state level for maintaining internal peace and supporting government efforts in areas such as security, education, and healthcare.

State APC Chairman, Aliyu Bello, welcomed Wadada and his supporters, promising a fair and transparent platform for all members ahead of the 2027 elections. He noted that the party would only support credible and popular candidates who can deliver victory at the polls.

Senator Wadada, in his address, stated that his decision to return to the APC was supported by his loyalists from the SDP and other opposition parties who trust his leadership and share his vision. He also expressed full loyalty to Governor Sule as the party leader in Nasarawa and pledged to contribute to maintaining peace and unity in the state.

To support the party’s mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, Wadada donated 18 vehicles to APC executives across the senatorial zones and local government areas.
