Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has made it clear where he stands as the debate over the fate of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, grows within the Peoples Democratic Party. The issue came up after some voices in the party called for Wike’s removal, but Fintiri refused to support the move.

Fintiri stated that he will not join any plan to remove Wike from the PDP. He explained that such an action would only deepen the problems facing the party and create more division at a time when unity is urgently needed. According to him, the PDP cannot afford another round of internal crisis, and he will not take part in anything that could make the situation worse.

The governor said his position is based on his desire to see the PDP remain stable and peaceful.
