Traditional rulers and community leaders in the Federal Capital Territory have pledged their continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration, saying recent appointments and development efforts have strengthened their sense of inclusion in the country. The leaders made their position known during visits to several FCT communities by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

The visit, which covered Karshi, Karu, Garki, and Bwari, was led by the FCT Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi. Community leaders described President Tinubu’s administration as one that values inclusion, pointing to the appointment of an FCT indigene to a ministerial position and other national roles as proof of trust in the people of the territory.

At the palace of the Emir of Karshi, representatives of the monarch expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the delegation of the community’s support for the President. They also acknowledged Hon. Abdullahi as a son of the area and promised continued cooperation with the federal government. Community representatives noted visible development in parts of the FCT and called for sustained attention to local needs.

In Karu, the Sa’karuyi of Karu, Joseph Danfulani Narai, spoke positively about the coordinator of the ambassadors, noting his long-standing involvement in community development and grassroots engagement. Similar views were shared in Garki, where the Sapeyi of Garki, Alhaji (Dr) Usman Nga Kupi, said the people would stand by President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, citing development efforts in the FCT.
In Bwari, the Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Awwal Musa Ijakoro, assured the delegation of full backing from the traditional institution. He linked recent improvements in roads, the presence of the Nigerian Law School, and increased recognition of traditional rulers to the work of the current FCT administration under Nyesom Wike. The Esu of Bwari, Dr. Ibrahim Yaro, also pledged to mobilise chiefs and communities in support of the President’s return.
Over the past week, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors have continued grassroots outreach across the FCT, engaging traditional institutions and local communities to build support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
