APC Launches E-Registration Exercise in Sokoto State

The All Progressives Congress has begun the electronic registration of its members in Sokoto State as part of efforts to organise its membership database and prepare members for future party activities and elections.
The state chairman of the party, Isa Acida, made this known while speaking to party members and journalists at the party’s secretariat in Sokoto. He explained that the registration is compulsory for all members and that only those who complete the process and receive valid membership cards will be recognised by the party.
According to him, members without the official APC membership card will not be allowed to vote or contest for any position in party elections. He added that the party has been given a one-month period to complete the registration of all members across the state and urged members to take the exercise seriously.
The registration process is expected to begin formally with the enrolment of the party’s leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, who is listed as the first member on the state register. He will be followed by the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, and then the deputy governor, before other party leaders and members.
Acida explained that once Wamakko completes his registration, the exercise will commence fully across all parts of the state. He called on party members to cooperate with officials handling the process to ensure a smooth and timely registration.
He added that the exercise is aimed at strengthening party organisation and ensuring that only duly registered members take part in internal party affairs in Sokoto State.
