Gambo stated that the PDP believes the current administration led by the All Progressives Congress no longer represents the will of the people of Kogi State. He said the party sees itself as the rightful political home of the state, pointing to its long history of governance since 1999 and what he described as years of development and stability under PDP leadership.
According to him, the PDP is rebuilding and strengthening its structures across Kogi and other parts of the country ahead of the next elections. He explained that the party is working at both state and national levels with the aim of winning not only Kogi State but also contributing to a broader victory at the federal level in 2027.
He called on residents of the state to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while continuing to support the PDP. He also said the party is ready to work with the government on security matters, noting that the safety of lives and property must come before political competition.
Gambo expressed optimism that if the election process is transparent and fair, the PDP will emerge victorious by a wide margin. He maintained that the party’s support base remains strong in Kogi State and insisted that the 2027 elections will mark the return of the PDP to Lugard House.
He concluded by urging party supporters not to lose faith, assuring them that the PDP is fully prepared for the task ahead and determined to reclaim control of the state government through democratic means.
