APC begins digital membership registration in Benue

The All Progressives Congress has started a nationwide electronic membership re-registration exercise to create a fresh and unified digital register of its members across Nigeria. In Benue State, arrangements are underway for the full rollout, which is set to begin officially on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Iormem Alia, will formally launch the exercise by registering as the first participant at his polling unit in Mbangur, Mbadede Council Ward, Vandeikya Local Government Area. The event is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m.
Several party officials are expected to attend the launch, including members of the State Caretaker Committee, e-registration coordinators, chairmen of the 23 local government chapters, zone supervisors, head point officers, and ward registration agents from Vandeikya. Also invited are government appointees from the area, party stakeholders, and local support groups.
The party has called on its leaders, public office holders, long-standing members, and new entrants to take part in the exercise by visiting their respective wards or contacting designated ward agents. It stated that possession of a National Identification Number and Voter’s Identification Number is required for successful registration.
According to the APC, the registration will continue until the end of January. The party added that only members who complete the process and are properly verified will be allowed to participate in future party congresses.
