The ruling All Progressives Congress has announced the start of sales of expression of interest forms nationwide as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made on Tuesday through a statement shared on the party’s verified X account.
The party disclosed that women, young people, and aspirants living with disabilities are expected to pay for the expression of interest form as well as half of the required nomination fee for the position they seek. This arrangement applies to all elective offices covered by the exercise.
APC also stated that the current zoning arrangement for offices under the National Working Committee remains unchanged across states and geopolitical zones. In addition, congresses for state and senatorial executives will take place at the same time as the state congresses.
However, the party noted that Ekiti, Osun, Rivers states, and the Federal Capital Territory will not take part in the ward, local government, and state congresses. Despite this exclusion, the affected areas will still be involved in choosing three delegates each to attend the party’s national convention.
According to the party, all interested aspirants are required to complete their forms online. Access to both the expression of interest and nomination forms will only be granted after payment has been confirmed and validated by the APC National Secretariat. The party added that all payments must be made in full into its officially designated bank accounts.
