Soludo Revalidates APGA Membership, Praises Party’s Growth and Renewal

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, on Monday revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Awka by taking part in the party’s ongoing electronic registration exercise, which began on March 1, 2026, across Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory.

He completed the process alongside his wife, Nonye Soludo, as part of the nationwide drive aimed at updating and expanding the party’s membership database.

The governor carried out the registration during the official rollout of the exercise in his state. The programme is being conducted in all electoral wards across the country.

Soludo said the exercise follows the provisions of the Electoral Act and involves the use of the National Identification Number to confirm members’ details.

He noted that the new system is designed to create a reliable database for the party and make the process easier for both old and new members.

Soludo and his wife were among the early participants in the exercise. He encouraged members of the party to take part in the revalidation and asked those who wish to join APGA to register.

According to him, the process has been simplified to allow wider participation and ensure that members can complete it without difficulty.

Earlier, the party had called on its members, supporters and stakeholders across the country to participate in the electronic registration. Speaking at a press briefing in Awka on Friday, the National Publicity Secretary of APGA, Ejimofor Opara, said the exercise started on March 1 and is taking place at the same time in all 8,809 electoral wards nationwide.

Opara explained that the registration is open to both existing members who need to confirm their details and new members who wish to join the party.

He stated that participants must be at least 18 years old and must have a valid National Identification Number to complete the process. He added that the party hopes to attract more than two million new and returning members through the exercise.

The electronic registration is part of APGA’s effort to update its records and strengthen its structure ahead of future political activities across the country.
