He explained that the move follows the 2026 Electoral Reform framework, which requires political parties to keep a proper digital record of their members and maintain clear internal processes.

According to him, all members are expected to take part in the online registration to update their details and obtain new membership cards.

Those who registered under the party’s previous platform are also required to revalidate their membership by providing additional information through the designated online portal.

He said the updated digital register would serve as the official record of members and would be used to verify and accredit participants during congresses, primaries and conventions ahead of the next general elections.

The party leadership stated that detailed guidelines have already been sent to its structures at ward, local government, state and zonal levels to ensure that the process runs smoothly across the country.

Party officials at all levels have been directed to mobilise members and encourage fresh registration in their areas.

The leadership believes early preparation and proper documentation of members will position the party well for the coming electoral cycle.

The development comes at a time when political parties are adjusting their internal systems in response to changing electoral regulations and growing political activities ahead of 2027.

Many parties have started reviewing their membership records and strengthening their structures as they prepare for primaries and other internal contests.

Accord Party said the digital membership database will form the basis for participation in its future activities and will guide its preparations for the 2027 polls under the revised electoral framework.

The leadership also called on Nigerians who share the party’s vision to join the registration exercise and become part of its plans for the next election season.
