Governor Soludo explained that the party’s approach aims to prioritize the interests of the South-East region rather than pursuing individual political ambitions. He pointed out that APGA has taken a similar approach in the past, including in 2011 when the party supported then-President Goodluck Jonathan instead of fielding its own candidate.

Soludo added that the party intends to follow a strategy of alliances and collaboration, inspired by political practices from Nigeria’s earlier republics. He said this approach would allow the South-East to maintain influence and secure a role in national politics, even without fielding its own candidate.

The governor’s remarks underline APGA’s focus on strategic partnerships and regional interests as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
