APC inaugurates Bauchi executives, eyes 2027 polls

The All Progressives Congress in Bauchi State has formally installed members of its new State Executive Council as part of efforts to reposition the party ahead of future elections. The ceremony took place at the party’s secretariat, where the oath of office was administered to the officials.

A total of 36 executives were elected, but 29 were present to take their oath during the event. The remaining members were absent due to travel commitments, including some who were outside the country and others attending party activities in another state. They are expected to complete their swearing-in before the party’s national convention.

Key party officers were present at the event, including senior members of the state leadership and zonal representatives. The gathering marked the beginning of a new leadership phase for the party in the state.

Speaking after the inauguration, the state chairman, Muhammad Hassan Tilde, assured members that the new leadership would work responsibly and in line with party guidelines. He called on party officials to carry out their duties with honesty and to ensure that all members feel included.


He also urged party supporters across Bauchi State to rally behind the new executives and contribute to the party’s growth. According to him, unity within the party remains important as preparations begin for the 2027 elections.


The chairman further stated that efforts would be made to bring members together and resolve internal issues, while also working towards winning elections at different levels, including the presidency, governorship, and legislative seats.
