NUPENG Elects New President

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers has elected Salimon Oladiti as its new president during the union’s 6th Quadrennial Delegates Conference holding in Lagos.

Oladiti, a former National Trustee of the union, emerged after the election conducted during the conference, taking over leadership of one of the country’s major labour unions in the oil and gas sector.

The election was part of activities at the delegates conference, where members gathered to make decisions on the union’s leadership and direction. His emergence marks a new phase for the union as it continues to address labour matters affecting workers in the petroleum industry.

Alongside Oladiti’s election, Akin Oladejo, a former chairman of the Oil and Gas Supply branch, was also elected deputy president of the union.
