2027: Eno Submits APC Form, Seeks Second Term Support

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has submitted his nomination form for the All Progressives Congress governorship primaries ahead of the 2027 election and appealed to party members to support his bid for a second term in office.

The governor spoke on Wednesday shortly after returning to Akwa Ibom State from Abuja, where he completed the submission of his forms. He addressed journalists at the Victor Attah International Airport and explained that his decision to seek another term was based on the need to continue ongoing projects and programmes across the state.

Eno said his administration still has many unfinished projects that require more time to complete. According to him, several development projects started by his government are currently at different stages and may not be fully completed before the end of his first tenure in 2027.
The governor disclosed that more than 80 projects are still ongoing across the state.

He noted that another term would give his administration the opportunity to complete the projects and continue with development plans already started for residents of the state.

He also appealed to members of the APC to support him during the party primaries while expressing confidence that his administration would continue working for the growth of the state if given another mandate.

Eno thanked residents of the state for supporting his government over the past three years. He said the support and cooperation from the people had helped his administration carry out projects and programmes in different sectors.

The governor further expressed hope that the support from party members and residents would continue during the remaining part of his current tenure and beyond the 2027 election period.

His submission of the nomination form officially places him among the contenders expected to participate in the APC governorship primary election as political activities continue to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
