According to the party, the delay became necessary because the Independent National Electoral Commission, Independent National Electoral Commission, had not yet uploaded the logo linked to the leadership recognised by the party.

The NNPP said the new deadline for the submission and collection of forms is now May 17. The party also released details of the fees attached to different political positions. Presidential aspirants are expected to pay N5 million, governorship aspirants N2.5 million, senatorial aspirants N1.5 million, House of Representatives aspirants N1 million, while those contesting for State House of Assembly seats will pay N500,000.

The party added that women and persons living with disabilities will receive nomination forms free of charge. It also stated that current elected party officials seeking another term would be granted automatic tickets after purchasing the required forms.

NNPP leaders assured members and aspirants that the delay involving the party logo would soon be resolved and advised them to remain calm as preparations continue for the 2027 elections.

The party also confirmed that the screening of aspirants will still hold according to the earlier timetable already released.
