The party announced through its national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, that the House of Assembly primary in Zamfara will still take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He also confirmed that the governorship primary remains scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026, while the presidential primary date has not changed and will hold on Monday, May 23, 2026.

The statement also provided a revised schedule for other primary elections and appeal processes within the state. The House of Representatives primary will now take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, while the Senate primary is fixed for Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Appeal hearings connected to the primaries were also arranged across different days. Appeals from the House of Representatives primary will be handled on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, while Senate primary appeals are set for Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Appeals for the House of Assembly primary will hold on Thursday, May 21, 2026, and governorship primary appeals will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026.
The party did not give reasons for the changes in the timetable. This latest update follows an earlier adjustment where the APC moved its House of Representatives primary by one day, while leaving other major primary dates for Senate, governorship, state assemblies, and presidency unchanged.
