VDM fires back after Presidency threatens court action

Reacting to the development, presidential media aide Bayo Onanuga stated that the social media critic would face legal consequences over the matter.

In response, VDM said he was prepared to face any legal process arising from the controversy. He stated that he would not attempt to defend himself against the allegations and insisted he was ready for whatever action the authorities planned to take.

The online critic also maintained that citizens have the right to speak against government actions in a democratic system. According to him, criticism of leaders should not be treated as a crime when people believe the government is not performing well.

VDM further stated that he was willing to return earlier than planned in order to confront the issue directly if necessary.
