2027: Adeleke Vows to Deliver Osun for Tinubu

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying he is committed to helping the President secure strong support in the state.

Adeleke made this known on Sunday during a meeting with the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, where he assured that he would work towards delivering Osun votes to Tinubu in the next presidential election.

The governor said his commitment was not an empty political promise, insisting that he takes his word seriously and believes political activities should be based on honesty and trust.

Adeleke said he was prepared to work with other political stakeholders in Osun to support the President, despite differences that may exist among them.

He urged politicians and residents of the state to put aside their political disagreements and unite around the interest of Osun and the country.

The governor explained that his approach to politics was influenced by the values he learnt from his late father, whom he described as a diplomat and labour union politician.

According to Adeleke, his upbringing shaped his belief in keeping promises and maintaining integrity in public life.

His latest position further strengthens the political relationship between the governor and the President as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum across the country.

Adeleke’s declaration also comes after his recent political activities in the state, with various parties already positioning themselves ahead of the next general election.

The governor maintained that his support for Tinubu was genuine and that he intended to follow through on his commitment to mobilise support for the President in Osun.

He also called on political actors in the state to work together rather than allow party differences to prevent them from pursuing issues they believe are in the interest of the people.
