Nigeria’s former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has asked the UK government to show mercy on embattled former deputy president of the Nigerian senate, Ike Ekweremadu, his Wife, over the organ trafficking ordeal they are facing in the country.

Ekweremadu and his wife, had been found guilty of trafficking a young Nigerian to the UK by a Court, with the intention of harvesting his organ in order to treat their daughter, who is having a kidney problem.
