FHC/ABJ/CS/2202/2025, barred any protest from taking place within the Presidential Villa and nearby areas such as the National Assembly Complex, Force Headquarters, the Court of Appeal, Eagle Square, and Shehu Shagari Way.Following the court’s decision, the Nigeria Police issued a statement on Saturday through its spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, warning that anyone who violates the order will be arrested and prosecuted.

The Police stated that it would enforce the court’s directive to maintain public peace and ensure the safety of citizens. The Force also reminded all groups that while the right to peaceful assembly is recognized, it must be carried out within the limits of the law and without disrupting public order.
The Police added that any group or individual who uses the protest as a cover to incite violence, damage property, or endanger lives would face serious consequences. It also warned that those using social media to incite unrest will be tracked and prosecuted using digital evidence.
The Force assured Nigerians of its readiness to protect lives and property while maintaining law and order throughout the Federal Capital Territory during the period.
