The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the provisional list of candidates for the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election, but the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is missing from the list. Dr. Wole Oluyede, the PDP candidate, and his running mate were not included in the official list posted by INEC at its office in Ado-Ekiti.
The commission’s release shows that twelve political parties are fielding candidates for the state’s top office. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is presenting the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji, with Monisade Afuye as his deputy. Other parties include the Accord Party, African Action Congress, Action Democratic Party, African Democratic Congress, and Action Peoples Party, each with their respective candidates and running mates.
