Rivers Monarch Praises Wike as Trusted Leader

The paramount ruler of Emohua Kingdom in Rivers State, Eze Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, has described Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as a dependable ally and a leader worthy of following. The statement came during Wike’s Special Christmas visit to Rumuche Emohua in Emohua Local Government Area, where the monarch welcomed the minister alongside community leaders and residents.
Awuse acknowledged Wike’s consistent support for the people of Emohua and his leadership within the community. He assured that the local government would stand by the minister and follow his guidance whenever necessary. The traditional ruler also noted Wike’s role in national and regional development, saying that the minister’s efforts have positively impacted both Emohua and broader areas.
The monarch also spoke about the performance of President Bola Tinubu, saying that under his leadership, Nigeria’s economy has shown improvements, including the stabilization of the Naira and growth in foreign reserves. Awuse, who has a background in accounting and politics, remarked on the visible economic indices, citing the rise in the nation’s external reserves.
During the visit, Awuse recognized Wike’s contributions to the development of Abuja and his consistent assistance to residents in Emohua. He urged the minister to remain focused despite political opposition, noting that being criticized is a mark of effective leadership. The traditional leader expressed gratitude for Wike’s annual visits, which he described as a way of acknowledging and connecting with the people of Emohua.
The visit reinforced the relationship between Wike and the Emohua community, highlighting the minister’s ongoing commitment to supporting local development and maintaining strong ties with traditional institutions.
