The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has restated its commitment to the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia in the 2027 governorship election. The announcement was made during a meeting held at the residence of the APC state chairman, Benjamin Omale, in Makurdi, the state capital, which brought together party members and key stakeholders.
The meeting served as a gathering of party members to show unity and strength as the APC prepares for the upcoming general elections. Leaders of the party described the event as an opportunity to thank God for guidance and protection over the APC family in Benue throughout 2025.
Party officials also used the meeting to recognize the efforts of youths and women within the APC, praising their loyalty, sacrifices, and continuous support. The chairman reaffirmed that the party would remain cohesive and committed to ensuring Governor Alia’s victory in 2027.
Youths in the party were acknowledged for their active role in supporting APC’s agenda at the state level. The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation described the gathering as timely, noting that it would strengthen bonds among party members and boost efforts to secure a second term for Governor Alia.
The meeting reflected the APC’s strategy to consolidate support across the state and maintain a united front as Benue prepares for the next governorship election.
