2027: Adelakun’s Son Declares for Oyo Governorship Race

Kunle Busari, son of late First Republic politician Busari Adelakun, announced his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election under the All Progressives Congress. He made this known during an event held at Methodist Primary School in the Ibadan North Local Government Area.

Kunle Busari said his decision to join the race is driven by a vision to improve the state and provide better leadership. He expressed confidence in the ability of the APC to take charge of the state and deliver results if given the opportunity in the next election cycle.

He explained that his plan for the state will focus on improving key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, security, and the economy. According to him, his goal is to make basic services more accessible to residents and improve their daily living conditions.

He also stated that his administration would pay attention to young people, women, and vulnerable groups by creating job opportunities through skills training and financial support. He added that his plans are aimed at helping citizens become more independent and productive.

Kunle Busari further noted that his ambition is rooted in a desire to bring development and restore progress across the state. He said he hopes to build a system where people can benefit from governance through better living standards and inclusive growth.

His father, Busari Adelakun, was known for his influence in Ibadan politics during the First and Second Republics, where he was active in different political parties and played a key role in the political affairs of the city.
