Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has said he was not invited by Bola Tinubu or any member of the All Progressives Congress to join the ruling party, dismissing the reports as false. He spoke on the matter during an interview at his residence while hosting visitors for the Eid al-Fitr celebration.

Lamido stated that he had no knowledge of any invitation and made it clear that the claim did not come from him. He also rejected reports linking him to the African Democratic Congress, saying such stories were created and spread without facts, especially on social media platforms.

Despite denying the claims, the senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party said he would not rule out meeting President Tinubu if the need arises. He explained that such a meeting would be for the interest of the country and not based on party politics.

He also used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to think carefully about their voting choices, stating that the outcome of leadership in the country reflects the decisions made during elections.
Lamido further congratulated Muslims on the Eid celebration and urged continued prayers for peace, unity, and stability across Nigeria.
