Jonathan, Peter Obi Hold Closed-Door Meeting Over 2027 Talks

Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Peter Obi held a private meeting on Monday as consultations within opposition circles continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, which drew attention after images and videos surfaced online, came amid growing political talks over possible alliances among opposition leaders seeking a united front for the next presidential race.

Obi reportedly arrived with a delegation made up of political associates, South-East stakeholders and members linked to the African Democratic Congress coalition. The talks were linked to wider discussions on how opposition forces may work together before the election.
