Bayo Orebiyi, a former aide to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has been chosen as the consensus candidate for the Yewa South Constituency seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 elections. The decision was reached on Sunday in Yewa South Local Government Area after meetings and consultations by leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the area.

Party officials said Orebiyi was picked as the preferred candidate after members and stakeholders agreed on his name to represent the party. The move is aimed at presenting a united front before the party primaries and strengthening preparations for the next general elections.
