President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday in Abuja submitted fresh ministerial and key agency nominations to the Senate for screening and confirmation, as part of efforts to fill vacant positions and maintain the smooth running of his administration. The nominations were presented during plenary and read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The President put forward Joseph Tegbe for the position of Minister of Power and Sola Enikanolaye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. He also nominated Rabiu Umar to head the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority. The request was promptly referred to the appropriate Senate committees for further legislative review in line with standard procedures.
