The All Progressives Congress, APC, has unveiled its Lagos State Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, and other party leaders named to key positions.
The list was released on Thursday, September 17, 2026, through the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre, the media and information office of the party’s 2027 governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.
According to the list, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi has been appointed Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council.
Sanwo-Olu will head the Advisory Council, while former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will serve as Co-Chairmen.
At the campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu will also serve as Chairman, with Hamzat taking the position of Deputy Chairman.
The party appointed Senator Musiliu Obanikoro as Director-General of the Campaign Council, while Dr Adekunle Olayinka will serve as Campaign Secretary.
The appointments bring together serving and former political leaders as the Lagos APC begins preparations for its campaign activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
The inauguration of the Lagos State Campaign Council has been fixed for Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:00am.
The ceremony will take place at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road in Ikeja, Lagos.
All members of the newly constituted campaign council are expected to be present at the inauguration as the party formally begins the work of its campaign structure for the 2027 election.
