Chief Chukwuma Ifeanyi Odii, who ran as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, officially resigned from the party on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Odii submitted a formal resignation letter to the PDP Chairman of Amanator Ward in Isuachara, Onicha Local Government Area, stating that his decision followed extensive discussions with his family and close advisers. The former candidate expressed gratitude to the party for the platform that allowed him to contest in the previous governorship election.
He acknowledged the cooperation and support he received from party members during his engagement with the PDP and described his departure as a carefully considered choice. The letter also served as an official notice of his resignation, effective immediately.
