The Kwankwasiyya Movement Nigeria has announced the appointment of two new spokespersons as part of efforts to strengthen its communication structure and public outreach following recent political developments in Kano State.
The decision was made public in a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by Dr Yusuf Ibrahim Kofarmata, a former commissioner, on behalf of the movement. According to the statement, Hon. Habib Saleh Mailemo has been appointed as Spokesperson I, while Capt. Mansur Umar Kurugu will serve as Spokesperson II.
The movement explained that the appointments were necessary to ensure clear messaging, unity of purpose and effective engagement with the public and the media as the political environment continues to evolve. It noted that strong communication is required to properly convey the movement’s ideas, plans and responses to emerging issues.
Under the new arrangement, Hon. Mailemo will act as the main public voice of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, speaking on its political positions, policies and general direction. Capt. Kurugu will support the communication team by coordinating responses, engaging grassroots supporters and ensuring timely dissemination of information.
The leadership of the movement, under Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, expressed confidence that the new spokespersons would help project Kwankwasiyya as a people-focused political movement built on social justice, fairness and progressive leadership.
The statement also informed members of the public and media organisations that all official statements, reactions and positions of the Kwankwasiyya Movement will henceforth be communicated through the two appointed spokespersons.
Dr Kofarmata added that the movement remains committed to serving the masses and advancing politics guided by clear principles, discipline and strong values.
