The update was announced by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, who explained that the move is aimed at improving coordination and ensuring the convention is properly organised. The list, which was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, includes individuals selected to handle different responsibilities ahead of the event.

Among those named is Liyel Imoke, who will serve as chairman of the central coordination committee, while Aminu Tambuwal will act as deputy chairman. The party also called on members of the committees to carry out their duties responsibly and urged stakeholders to support the process leading to the convention.

The development comes at a time when the party is facing internal leadership disputes and legal issues involving the Independent National Electoral Commission, which has not recognised the leadership led by David Mark due to ongoing court cases.

Despite these challenges, the party has continued with its plans to hold congresses and the national convention as it works to reorganise its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
