The African Democratic Congress has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of attempting to disrupt its planned opposition summit scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The allegation was made on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, who said the party had received information about moves aimed at frustrating the gathering. According to him, despite the alleged pressure, the summit would go ahead as planned.

The opposition party claimed this was not the first time its activities had faced challenges, pointing to earlier difficulties linked to meetings in Abuja. ADC said the latest development fits into what it described as repeated obstacles placed before opposition efforts.

The party maintained that the planned summit is part of wider consultations among opposition groups and insisted it would not abandon the meeting because of the alleged threats.
