Abia State Governor Alex Otti on Tuesday in Aba said he is confident about his chances in the 2027 governorship election while hosting former students of the Federal School of Arts and Science at his office. The visit came as the group showed support for his leadership and urged him to continue in office to complete ongoing projects across the state.
During the meeting, the governor made it clear that his administration would remain focused on governance and would not be distracted by political activities. He said the people of Abia are aware of what works for them and would make their choice when the time comes.
The visitors used the occasion to commend his efforts so far and encouraged him to sustain the pace of development. In response, Otti urged them to keep supporting the growth of their former school and contribute to the wider progress of society.
The governor also spoke about plans to improve electricity supply in the state. He referred to ongoing efforts linked to the Aba power project and said steps are being taken to extend power distribution to more communities. He added that improving energy supply is part of a wider plan to drive development and improve living conditions in Abia State.
Otti maintained that his administration remains committed to delivering projects in key sectors, as work continues across different parts of the state.
