In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of APGA, Dr. Ejimofor Opara, the party disclosed that eight aspirants were cleared for the senatorial elections, while 40 aspirants were approved for the House of Representatives race. It also stated that 107 aspirants successfully passed the screening process for seats in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The party explained that all cleared aspirants are expected to visit its regional office in Awka on May 18 to collect their nomination forms. APGA added that the sale of nomination forms would end on May 20 and advised aspirants to complete every stage of the process before the deadline.

According to the statement, the screening exercise was carried out as part of the party’s internal preparations ahead of the primaries. The National Working Committee congratulated the successful aspirants and wished them success as political activities continue within the party.
The party leadership also encouraged aspirants to follow the party’s guidelines and maintain order throughout the process. The development comes as political parties across the country continue preparations ahead of future elections, with screening exercises and consultations taking place in different states.
