Among those who took part were former governors, lawmakers and other political figures hoping to secure the party’s ticket for the 2027 elections. Many of the aspirants used the opportunity to interact with party leaders and defend their chances ahead of the primaries.

Some participants also expressed optimism about the growing presence of the ADC in the country’s political space and its chances in future elections as more politicians continue to show interest in the party.

Party officials said the screening exercise forms part of wider preparations for both governorship and presidential primaries. The party added that more internal activities and verification processes would continue before final candidates are confirmed for the elections.
