According to the movement, Ameh’s appointment is part of its preparations for the 2027 elections. It said his experience in politics, leadership and public affairs would help drive the group’s activities and support its long-term plans.

The latest appointment comes shortly after the movement named Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, as the Head of its Advisory Council. The appointments are part of ongoing efforts to build the movement’s leadership team before the next general elections.

The OK Movement is a political group made up of supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso. The group has continued to expand its organisational structure as political activities gather pace ahead of the 2027 polls.

With Ameh now serving as National Director General, the movement is expected to coordinate its programmes, mobilise supporters and strengthen its presence across the country as preparations for the elections continue.

The group believes the new leadership team will help position it for its political objectives in the coming years.
