The All Progressives Congress has dismissed reports that it withdrew the list of its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election, saying no such decision has been made.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the clarification on Tuesday amid reports that the APC had pulled back the campaign council list released as part of preparations for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Morka said the reports were unfounded and that the party would make an official announcement if any changes were made to the list.
The clarification followed growing speculation within political circles over the status of the campaign council after the APC recently released the names and positions of members expected to play roles in its 2027 presidential campaign.

The release of the list had generated reactions from party members and other political stakeholders, with questions raised over the inclusion of some individuals and the absence of others.
Those reactions later led to speculation that the ruling party might review or withdraw the list.
