Lagos APC Accuses Insiders of Aiding Terrorists

The Lagos APC said that some recent attacks by terrorists across the country did not happen by chance. The party claimed that certain people within Nigeria’s security structure were secretly helping attackers by leaking sensitive information and weakening operations. According to the party, the way some attacks were carried out showed that they had access to inside details, such as movement plans and security arrangements.

The party also said that in some cases, security checkpoints appeared to be weakened or ignored at critical times, making it easier for attackers to strike. It stated that the pattern of violence suggested deliberate cooperation between internal actors and external enemies of the country. The party further claimed that some politicians were helping to spread fear by repeating extremist messages and creating panic among citizens.

Despite these claims, the Lagos APC said the country’s leadership was fully committed to fighting terrorism. The party described President Bola Tinubu as determined to confront insecurity and to pursue terrorists and their helpers using intelligence and military strength. It also praised the armed forces and warned that those involved in sabotage would be exposed and dealt with.

As of the time of the statement, security agencies had not officially responded to the claims, and no proof was provided publicly to support the allegations. The statement came at a time of rising insecurity, including recent attacks on places of worship and the abduction of students in states such as Kebbi, Niger, and Kwara, which have led some state governments to shut down schools temporarily.
