The former National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Saturday revealed his exit from the PDP in a letter shared on his X page and addressed to the chairman of Okekoko Ward (09) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He opened the letter by stating his appreciation to the party leadership for the roles he held over the years and for the chance to serve both the party and the country.
He explained that he had looked back on his involvement in the PDP and concluded that it was time to move on for personal reasons. He said he had reached a clear decision to end his membership and wanted the ward leadership to be officially informed. His letter, dated December 5, 2025, ended with well-wishes to the party leaders as he stepped away from his role within the organisation.
Ologbondiyan’s political and media journey includes serving as Director of Media and Publicity for the PDP’s 2019 Presidential Campaign Council. Before then, he worked in journalism and later served as an aide to former Senate President David Mark, who now chairs the African Democratic Congress.
His announcement marks the end of his long stay in the PDP, but he did not state what his next political move would be or whether he plans to join another party.
