NNPP Begins National Search for New Members Ahead of 2027 Elections

The New Nigeria Peoples Party has ordered its state executives across the country to start reaching out to politicians who have the capacity and integrity to strengthen the party before the 2027 general elections. The directive also includes a fresh membership drive and an update of the current membership register.

This instruction was issued on Friday in Lagos by the party’s Founder and Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Boniface Aniebonam. He explained that all state and local government leaders must accept only politicians with traceable records and good character.

Aniebonam said the party’s long-running leadership crisis with the Rabiu Kwankwaso-led Kwankwasiyya movement slowed down the NNPP and kept it from fully taking part in previous elections. He noted that with the internal dispute almost settled, the party is now focused on rebuilding and working toward better leadership for the country.

He added that any member unwilling to follow the values of the party is free to move to another platform. He stated that the NNPP holds no grudges against former members and wishes them well, even though their actions led to disagreements and expulsions in the past.

Aniebonam further said he had moved on from the actions of Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, stressing that he bears no personal resentment. He urged loyal members not to be troubled by distractions, expressing confidence that the party will recover and move forward.
