FCT Council Poll: APC Releases National Campaign Council Line-Up

The All Progressives Congress has released the list of members of its National Campaign Council for the 2026 Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections, which will take place on Saturday, February 21, across the six councils of Abaji, Abuja Municipal Area Council, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali.
The party made this known in a statement issued on Sunday, stating that the council will oversee campaign activities ahead of the polls. The APC also announced that members of the council will be formally inaugurated before campaigns begin.
According to the list, the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was appointed Chairman of the National Campaign Council. He will work with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as Co-Chairman I, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as Co-Chairman II, and Niger State Governor Umar Bago as Co-Chairman III.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, was named Secretary of the council, while Sanasi Evelyn will serve as Assistant Secretary.
Several top government officials and governors were also included as members. They include Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; and governors Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Monday Okpebholo of Edo, Bassey Otu of Cross River, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Peter Mbah of Enugu, and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi.
Other governors listed are Inuwa Yahaya, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Abdullahi Sule, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Umar Radda, Usman Ododo, Nasir Idris, Uba Sani, Umar Namadi and Dapo Abiodun, among others.
The APC further disclosed that the inauguration of the National Campaign Council will hold at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, at the National Working Committee Hall of the party’s National Secretariat on Blantyre Street, Abuja.
