APC Shifts Deadline for Zonal Congress, Convention Form Sale

The All Progressives Congress on Tuesday in Abuja extended the deadline for the purchase and submission of nomination forms for its upcoming Zonal Congress and National Convention, moving the exercise to run from March 12 to March 23, 2026.

The announcement was made in a statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the party, the change only affects the timeline for obtaining and returning forms. It explained that the actual dates fixed for the Zonal Congress and the National Convention remain unchanged.

The Zonal Congress is scheduled for March 25, 2026, while the National Convention will take place from March 26 to March 27, 2026.

The APC also announced a new venue for the South-South Zonal Congress. The event, earlier planned for another location, will now be held in Asaba, Delta State.

The party said it has already informed the Independent National Electoral Commission about the adjustments in line with legal requirements.

Party members and other stakeholders were advised to take note of the new dates and make necessary arrangements.

The extension comes after earlier changes to the party’s 2026 timetable, which included ward congresses and other preparatory activities.

The forthcoming congresses are expected to produce new zonal and national officers who will guide the party’s affairs ahead of the next general elections.

With the updated schedule, the party aims to complete its internal processes before the convention where key decisions and leadership positions will be determined.
