The OK Movement has reaffirmed its support for Peter Obi and his running mate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, ahead of the 2027 general elections after its national leaders met with the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate on Wednesday.
The meeting, held as political activities for the 2027 election gather momentum, focused on the movement’s mobilisation plans and its role in supporting the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket across the country.
The delegation was led by the Director-General of the OK Movement, John Ughulu. Other members of the national executive council and zonal leadership also attended the meeting.
Among those present were the National Secretary, Saadatu Mohammed Sanni; National Director of Administration and Human Resources, Aisha Aliyu Abdulrahman; and National Director of Operations, Francis Nnodi.
The Director of Mobilisation and Outreach, Rev. Victor Ekam, also attended, alongside zonal coordinators Chris Elijah for the South-South, Adefolaseye Adebayo for the South-West and Sulaiman Abubakar for the North-Central.
During the meeting, the leaders reviewed their mobilisation activities and plans for engaging voters ahead of the presidential election.
The movement said its national and zonal structures would strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand voter engagement as the 2027 campaign progresses.
The leaders also pledged to improve coordination among their supporters in different parts of the country while working towards securing electoral support for Obi and Kwankwaso.
The OK Movement is made up of supporters backing the Obi-Kwankwaso presidential ticket and is expected to play a role in grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The group’s renewed commitment comes as political parties and support groups intensify preparations for the presidential contest, with candidates and their supporters seeking to build stronger networks across the country.
