Ex-Kogi Governorship Candidate dumps AA, Defects to ADC

Former Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Kogi State, Olayinka Braimoh, has left his party to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Braimoh made the announcement on Saturday in Kabba, the headquarters of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area. He explained that his move to ADC was driven by his desire to contribute to the transformation of Kogi State through a united political platform.

The former candidate said he believes the ADC provides a stronger base for progressive-minded individuals to work together in addressing poverty and poor leadership in the state.

He added that Kogi possesses abundant human and intellectual resources that have not been effectively utilized due to weak governance over the years.Braimoh stated that his decision to align with the ADC coalition was based on the quality of people in the party and his conviction that it offers a better opportunity to realize his vision for a new and developed Kogi State.

He called on residents to support the ADC movement as the state prepares for the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that collective efforts can bring positive change to Kogi’s political and economic landscape.
