Yilwatda said the ruling party successfully uploaded the details of all 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates, along with 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates, to the INEC portal within the required period. He described the completion of the process as an important step in the party’s preparations for the next stage of the electoral timetable.

He congratulated the party’s leaders, members and candidates across the country for the successful completion of the nomination exercise. According to him, the achievement reflects the party’s ability to coordinate a nationwide process involving hundreds of candidates without missing the deadline.

The APC chairman said the party would now turn its attention to engaging Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections. He added that the APC would also continue to present the policies, programmes and achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration as part of its campaign activities before the polls.

The completion of the uploads means the APC has met INEC’s nomination requirement for its governorship and State Assembly candidates, allowing the party to move on to the next phase of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
